This project involved redesigning the Living Potential Care Farming CIC website using HTML and CSS. Based on my Year 1 learning, I focused on improving web design, usability, and accessibility while retaining the original content structure. I recreated and refined the layout, simplifying navigation and visual hierarchy, and improving clarity. This demonstrates my ability to apply fundamental front-end skills to create a more user-friendly and accessible design.
This was my first attempt at building a website using HTML and CSS. I created a simple site based on five short passages from Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino (1972). Through this project, I developed foundational skills in structuring content, layering elements, and using varied font sizes and colours to create visual hierarchy and improve readability.
This was my first experiment with CSS, where I explored the basic characteristics and behaviour of styling through simple shapes. By creating squares and circles with different colours, I learned how CSS properties affect layout, form, and appearance. This exercise helped me understand fundamental concepts such as positioning, sizing, and visual styling in code.
This project recreates Cadmium Red & Cobalt Blue (1988) using HTML and CSS. I focused on layout precision, colour accuracy, and clean structure, applying CSS Grid and positioning to replicate the composition. It demonstrates my ability to translate visual design into code while maintaining consistency, clarity, and strong attention to detail in front-end development.
This project involved redesigning The Peatcutter's Croft website as a four-page microsite. I created five HTML pages and built a clear, hyperlink-based navigation system to improve usability. The focus was on structuring content, styling links, creating form, and helping users understand their location within the site while moving easily between pages.
As I enjoy travelling in Japan and its natural landscapes, I created a grid featuring six of its most beautiful locations. This exercise taught me how to build a fluid, responsive layout using CSS. I used floated, fixed-width boxes that adapt to different screen sizes, learning how media responsiveness creates structured, grid-like designs across devices.
This photographic project was created by me. It explores the theme of “decipher,” reflecting concerns about identity and trust in today’s digital world. With the rise of hacking and online scams, people on social media may not be who they appear to be, often using false images or identities.
This is a short film I created based on the theme of “Communication Barriers.” As an international student studying abroad, I have often faced these challenges due to differences in language, nationality, lifestyle, and background. I aimed to express the desire to break free from physical and psychological barriers by using layered sound and images of the mouth as symbolic elements of barriers. However, in the end, I chose to remain within my comfort zone.
I designed a web banner for Absolut Vodka based on the theme of distortion. Inspired by David Szauder, I explored pixelation and glitch effects to fragment and reconfigure the bottle image. This process highlights disruption, movement, and transformation, offering a new visual perspective while maintaining the recognisable identity of the brand.
These photographs were taken in my hometown, Hong Kong, where I was born and raised. Hong Kong is a densely populated city where everything moves and changes rapidly. Through photography, I capture and pause fleeting moments, allowing me to reflect on and remember how the city looks and feels.
